Landscapes have been a muse of natural beauty for artists for centuries. The colours, shapes and forms to be explored are endless, and together in a composition that celebrates this natural beauty comes this series. Farmers, fields, crops, barns, farmhouses, hills, bales and of course trees, trees, trees!

These rural scenes differ from all of Kate’s work in that they are extra textured; a layer of texture gel is applied to the canvas before painting starts to give that subtle dry brush charm to these beautiful landscapes, adding an almost three-dimensional aspect to the compositions.

Note: rural scenes are the only style where texture is used
